Alexander always wanted to create a piece examining love and his admiration for Julian Barnes led the way for this project. Hard To Get consisted of three monologues and and end-play, about an unresolved triangular relationship between mid-twentiers Aaron, Julie and Daniel. The audience was divided in three groups, each heard two stories, two versions of the ‘truth’ and then witnessed a final confrontation on stage. The performance was in Dutch and toured extensively in Flanders.
